Terms of Service

Contract: All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars. The down-payment of 10 – 15% guarantees our services on your behalf.

CURRENCY/PRICE GUARANTEE: All prices are quoted in US Dollars. Prior to receipt of final payment prices are subject to change if major currency fluctuations and/or unforeseen economic circumstances so necessitate. We will alert you to any changes.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations received over 45 days prior to departure will be subject to losing the 10 – 15% down-payment made on the trip. Airline tickets are non-refundable and changes are subject to penalty and/or service fees plus difference of the fare if applicable. Penalties are as follows:

No refunds are paid for any unused portions of the tour. Changes in plans by the travelers during the trip are subject of penalties or non-refundable amount of the services cancelled. No refunds will be made for occasional missed meals or sightseeing tours. After down payment has been received, if changes need to occur, a $30 fee will be charged for alteration of any changes made to dates, hotels, tours, ground or air transportation.

AIRPORT TAXES/CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION FEES: Departure tax within Costa Rica and Latin America and/or customs and immigration fees are not included in our rates and must be paid directly by the passenger.

PRICE INCLUDES: Price includes all items listed all items in the itinerary unless specifically stated otherwise in the itinerary, includes all costs for planning and operating the package.

PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Federal Inspection Fees for the Federal U.S. Customs and Immigration; International Air Transportation Tax; agricultural tax; any other taxes; security fee; airport taxes and fees; port taxes; passports; visas and vaccinations; tips to your tour or cruise director; tour host, tour driver, local city guides, ships’ crew; gratuities on ferries, trains and cruise ships; laundry; telephone; mini bar; alcohol, beverages and food not on the regular d’hote menu (these extraitems will be billed you before leaving the hotel ship or restaurant); optional excursions; porterage at airports; travel protection; excess baggage fees; all other items of a personal nature.

VISAS AND PASSPORTS: All passengers must be in possession of a valid passport. You are responsible for obtaining and payment and payment for all visas and entry documents, and for meeting all health and other requirements and any documents required by laws, regulations, orders and/ or requirements of the countries to be visited. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. Non-U.S. citizens must consult with appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed and are responsible for obtaining all visas and entry documents. All passengers traveling internationally are required to have a passport. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com will not be held liable for trip cancellations or alterations occurring from lack of appropriate travel documents and no refunds will be considered for such instances.

POSSIBLE CHANGES: We reserve the right to make reasonable changes and/or substitutions in the itinerary where deemed necessary for the benefit of all passengers.

TRAVELERS WHO NEED SPECIAL ASSISTANCE: You must report any disability requiring special attention to Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com at the time the reservation is made. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so, nor is it responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotel, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Be aware that outside the U.S. the Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. Most transportations services, including the touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well being.

INSURANCE: We recommend that you purchase adequate and comprehensive travel accident insurance covering medical expenses, emergency assistance, baggage claims and trip cancellation or delay.

RESPONSIBILITY: Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com act only as agents for the various companies, owners or contractors providing the means of transportation, accommodations and other services. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com does not own, manage, control, promote, run or operate any transportation or recreational vehicle, motel, hotel, restaurant or any supplier of service. All exchanges orders, coupons and tickets are offered subject to a General Information under which such services are offered or provided. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com assumes no liability in personal injury, illness or property damage or other loss or expense of any nature whatsoever arising directly out of any actions of any person or supplier of services providing any of the serviced, programs or accommodations offered in connection with a tour. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com assumes no responsibility at all and no liability at all for any death, injury, illness, quarantine, sickness, diseases, natural disaster, damage, loss delay, accident, expense, defect or any other abnormality which may result from your participation in any activity during the tour. Costa Rica Vacation Experts & CRReferrals.com can accept no responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due, as well, to delays or changes in schedules or departures, hotel over bookings or defaults, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantines, riots or insurrections or criminal acts committed by third parties, political disorders, of any type, or other such similar causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger, who is again advised of the availability of travel accident insurance. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour announced in this program and to make such alterations to the itineraries as may be found desirable for the proper carrying out of the tours. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable in the Tour Operator discretion to alter the arrangements or itineraries for the passenger’s comfort or welfare for any reason whatsoever, such alterations may be made without penalty to the Operator. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to decline, to accept or retain any person as a member of any group at any time. This program is issued on the sole responsibility of the Tour Operator. It is not issued on behalf of and does not commit any airlines whose services are used in the course of these tours.
