Day 1 – Arrival

Day 2 – Sarapaqui – (B)
Chocolate Tour – Discover how cacao seeds are transformed into the world’s favorite candy – chocolate! Visit a rainforest cacao plantation and learn about this native rainforest tree. Enjoy a taste of organic chocolate made by a local woman’s group – the Asociación de Mujeres Amazilia del Caribe.
Pineapple Plantation Tour – Learn more about this favorite fruit of the tropics! Pineapple is one of Costa Rica’s major exports and is an important industry in the Sarapiqui. A visit to Finca Corsicana, a 3,200 acre plantation, will allow you to investigate the difference between organic and traditional cultivation of this important crop.
Day 3 – Sarapaqui – (B)
Hike the Almendro Trail – Our reserve is home to one of the oldest and largest remaining Almendro Trees in all of Central America. This towering beauty is nearly 600 years old and provides food and shelter to thousands of organisms, including the endangered Great Green Macaw, who favors the fruit of the Almendro. Explore the depths of the Selva Verde Reserve with a naturalist guide to learn about this important tree and other flora and fauna you’ll encounter along the way.
Day 4 – Sarapaqui to Tenorio – (B)

Day 5 – Tenorio – (B)
Rio Celeste Hike – A legend tells that after God was done painting the sky, he washed his brushes in the river that now bears the name of Rio Celeste (Light Blue River). We start the walk at the Lodge at 08:00 am, until get to the park. After paying the park entry’s fee, we start the hike through this Humid Forest ecosystem, with the chance to observe various animal species and exuberant flora surrounding us. Along the walk we will discover the magnificent Rio Celeste waterfall, and also the place where the river dyes itself into that amazing light blue coloration and finally the natural hot springs (bathing allowed only at the springs)
Day 6 –Tenorio – (B)
Tenorio White Water Rafting – A beautiful river that rises at Tenorio Volcano at Guanacaste mountain range, it’s pure and white water makes it the best river on Guanacaste area for rafting. You can combine almost 20 kilometers of rapids with magnificent landscapes surrounded by tropical forest. No experience required but good effort needed it on this world famous class III and IV white water rafting. This challenging river will take the energy out of you, that’s why we will have a very complete and delicious lunch. Our staff will make you feel confident and our modern and certified equipment will let you mount the rapids smoothly.
Day 7 – Tenorio to San Ramon – (B)

Silencio de Los Angeles Guided Nature Walk – Walk around with your head in the clouds as you step into … the heart of the cloud forest with our own nature interpreters who will unveil a secret world of rich tropical life along this 3 kilometre user-friendly trail. Located right on the hotel property, the trail was created by our hotel´s professional nature guides and designed to showcase a variety of tropical flora and fauna as it winds its way throughout this rare and incredibly diverse biosphere. As a part of only 2.5 % of the planet´s remaining cloud forests, this unique forest habitat continues to amaze our hotel guests and guides, as well as the trained research scientists from INBio (National Institute of Biodiversity), who established staff the first research station to operate on a hotel property in Costa Rica.
Day 9 – San Ramon – (B)
San Ramon cultural – historical – & coffee plantation combo tour – If you can’t start your day without coffee, this is the tour for you. It’s a unique half day guided tour of regional attractions, including an overview of local agriculture that features the Espiritu Santo Coffee Plantation, where a step-by-step explanation of the entire process from harvesting to roasting a cup of Costa Rica’s finest blend of plantation coffee will be presented. An unforgettable experience in a natural setting led by our own “home grown” hotel nature guides who all grew up in the area. The tour combines the agricultural tour with the San Ramón Cultural and Historical Tour, previously detailed.
