For first time visitors, a modified version of our Fire and Water Package is a favorite. This is a great introduction to Costa Rica, or a great re-introduction if you are coming back. Starting in La Fortuna, home to the mighty Arenal Volcano, you begin your adventure vacation. Arenal Volcano was listed as one of the top 20 most active volcanoes in the world and the most active in all of Central America. Currently the volcano is in a period of rest but that can rapidly change and the volcano could wake up at any time. From Arenal we head South to Manuel Antonio where the Rain Forest meets the sea. This is a great trip for a families, couples, or single travelers.
Day 1 ~ Arrival ~ (San Jose or Liberia airport)
Private Transfer to Arenal – (approx. 3 hours) – Upon arrival your private driver will be waiting outside the airport to take you to your first destination. Vehicles have WiFi to catch up on correspondence on the way. The drive is a scenic one!
Check in Silencio del Campo – or similar hotel – We like hotels that have hot springs on the property for a custom Fire & Water package! This way you can soak each night in the hot springs after your days adventure.
Day 2 ~ Arenal ~ (B,L)
White Water Rafting on the Toro River – The Río Toro explodes with a series of over 45 continuous class 3-4 rapids – you’ll spend more than 2½ hours rafting through unexplored, tropical wilderness on a personalized, small-group tour. The exciting Río Toro is located only 1 hour from La Fortuna. Experienced and first-time rafters love the Río Toro for full-day, class 3-4 rafting.The Río Toro offers over 45-continuous rapids along more than 16 kilometers of deep-canyon gorges and waterfalls where we often see sloths, monkeys and tropical birds, such as toucans and the Montezuma Oropendula. Day 3 ~ Arenal ~ (B)
Sky Adventures Combo Tour – Hanging Bridges /Aerial Tram / Zipline Canopy Tour- Traverse the cloud forest by way of hanging bridges. You will learn much about this amazing ecosystem as you enjoy a treetop view. Next comes the zipline canopy tour! Sky Trek starts with a tour in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve, then begins a tour of adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops, which consists on a system of zip lines, that allows you to observe the rainforest and its landscape from a different perspective, safely in an innovative and different system. The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a panoramic view of the Arenal volcano and lake.
Day 4 ~ Arenal ~ Manuel Antonio ~ (B)
Shared Shuttle or Private Transfer to Manuel Antonio – (approx. 5 hours) – The trip to Manuel Antonio is a long one, but a scenic one. This is a great way to traverse Costa Rica. On this road trip you will go through several micro climates as you travel towards the beginning of the Southern Rain forest regions.

Manuel Antonio Park Guided Tour – Your guide will take you through the world renowned Manuel Antonio Park. This informative hike will teach you about the complexity of the rain forest while pointing out many species of birds, mammals, reptiles, flora & fauna. Enjoy the 3 pristine white sand beaches within Manuel Antonio Park and marvel at the rainforest that surrounds you. Beware, Capuchin Monkeys can be thieves

And feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private white sand beach.
