Hey everyone! This is James, lead travel planner and lover of travel / life. Over the years, I have planned thousands of vacations to Costa Rica and every year there are a few stand out trips. Myself and the other planners in the office like to talk about the most interesting and epic trips we plan which brings me to today’s blog post.
An Epic Costa Rica Adventure!
So far this year, my favorite trip that I planned was indeed an epic adventure. A month long trip in April that took my client to every corner of our country on up to our highest mountain peak Chirripo. I love planning trips like this, not only is it challenging on the planning side, but the sheer number of experiences you can have over a 30 day stretch is incredible.
As an added bonus, my client was also an incredible photographer and shared with us over 700 photos of his adventure! People often ask me if I enjoy my work, which is always followed by a resounding YES! I do love my work, for a variety of reasons. Not only do I get to dream up adventures on a daily basis, my job also makes people happy and I have always felt that if you do something in life that brings joy to others than it is a job worth doing. I take the job very seriously; I am in charge of interpreting a client’s wishes and executing an incredible vacation experience. These are memories that will stay with someone for a lifetime and that in itself makes the work incredibly important.
So, back to the epic adventure in April!
My client started in Liberia, the full trip route went as follows – Rincon de la Vieja – Hermosa – Tenorio – Heredia – Tortuguero – Arenal – Monteverde – Manuel Antonio – Drake Bay – San Isidro de Rivas – Domincal and then flying out of San Jose. On a map it went something like this:
I am going to share a few of the highlight photos from this epic Costa Rica adventure. It was hard to choose a few out of the hundreds from this trip!
This nesting pair of Scarlet Macaws are showing their affection. Scarlet Macaws mate for life!
These are just a few of the photos we received from this trip and we have loved every single one!
Throughout the trip, I was in contact with my client and he always had updates for us. The trip ran smoothly with only one hiccup, a lack of hot water in Tenorio which we were able to get him refunded for. Aside from that, he had a vacation of a lifetime and this was by far my favorite Costa Rica trip so far this year.
I hope you enjoyed my blog / photo post today. If you are traveling to Costa Rica and need expert planning advice, FREE of charge, contact us today and myself or another planner will be at your service.
